It’s Ok* Studios, is a new independent Black-led and operated, interdisciplinary, multipurpose arts space, in Toronto’s Queen West Neighbourhood.

The 10,000 square-foot building will include a gallery, photo studio, office space, and a flexible venue for live performances and installations.

Led by cultural programmers Said Yassin and Chris Wilson, the space will host programs focusing on the concept and development of work from Black grassroots emerging artists and musicians, and developmental workshops for creatives to gain valuable skills and insights on creating and sustaining a creative practice.

SOCA has been assisting the It’s Ok* team though the process of reconfiguring the space from it’s previous use as a two storey retail store.
