Intermediate interior designer / interior architect
We are looking for an intermediate interior designer / interior architect ideally with a minimum of six years of interior design work experience. The position will be a hybrid of in-person and remote work. We are looking for a team member who is organized and has strong communication and interpersonal skills. They should be able to work on multiple projects at a time, taking them from design conception through to the end of construction. We are interested in fostering growth and providing diverse experiences on impactful community, residential, institutional, and civic projects to our team members. You will be working within a small team developing concepts, preparing presentations, drafting, specifying products, and coordinating with consultants and contractors. The position offers great experiences for emerging interior designers and/or interior focused architects to develop and gain experience in all areas of interior design
The successful applicant should have the following skills and experiences:
Strong knowledge of materials and methods of interior construction.
Strong knowledge of interior based products, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Experience working in construction administration independently and as part of a team.
Proactive communication, collaborative problem solving, three-dimensional thinking and self-direction.
Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge in preparing outline specifications.
Experience leading projects.
Strong technical knowledge.
Demonstrate a passion for design excellence.
Demonstrate a passion for continued learning, informed by the latest innovations and professional best practices.
Interest in the social, cultural and environmental impact of architecture.
Strong Revit proficiency is required.
Experience with 3D visualization software.
We consider the following skills to be assets:
LEED / Passive House knowledge or accreditation.
Licenced with ARIDO and/or certified with NCIDQ.
The duties of the position include:
Preparation of designs and documentation for all project phases.
Preparation of client presentations.
Coordination with consultants and contractors and communicating with clients.
Construction Administration including site review and shop drawing review.

The position offers great experiences for emerging architects to develop and gain experience in all areas of architecture and interior design.

Experience working in construction administration and running projects, independently and as part of a team
Proactive communication, collaborative problem solving, three-dimensional thinking and self-direction.
Excellent presentation, communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and municipal planning approvals.
Experience leading projects
Excellent technical knowledge
Interest in the cultural and environmental impact of architecture
Strong Revit proficiency is required
